The photograph shows the Dayton-Wright "The Messenger" at the Dayton-Wright Airplane Company. "The Messenger" was a small airplane that was powered by a two-cycle four cylinder engine. The aircraft was a single seat model and resembled the De Havilland DH-4 in parts of the design. The background shows some residential buildings and open land. The negative is labeled 67.
