Description: William J. Tate's home, the former Kitty Hawk Post Office. Photograph was taken when house was used as a parsonage. Typed note on back, "Residence occupied by the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk, N.C. in the yard of which was assembled the parts of their first experimental glider. Capt. W. J. Tate then owned the place; later it became a Methodist parsonage and was burned April 7th, 1928. W. A. Betts, Pastor."
