This is the first in a series of interviews with Ms. Deborah Richardson, third-year medical student in the Wright State University School of Medicine. In this first interview, Ms. Richardson describes her educational background prior to coming to the Wright State University School of Medicine, why she chose to become a medical student, and the medical school application and interview process prior to her being accepted at Wright State University.

In the second part of this interview, Ms. Richardson discusses her preparation for medical school, the orientation process for first-year medical students, and the problems and advantages of being a married woman in medical school.
