In this second interview, Dr. A.V. Black discusses the growth and development of the medical community in the Dayton area from the 1950's to the development of the Wright State University School of Medicine. In the discussion Dr. Black emphasizes his role in the Montgomery County Medical Society and the reaction of the Society to the initiation and development of planning for the School of Medicine.

In further discussion, Dr. Black talks about the establishment by the Montgomery County Medical Society (with Dr. Black as President) of the Dooley Committee, with an emphasis on the membership of the committee and the reaction of the area medical community to the committee's recommendation.
