This interview is focussed primarily upon two major topics: the tenure of Dr. William D. Sawyer as Dean of the School of Medicine; and President Kegerreis's thoughts on the future of the School of Medicine. Dr. Kegerreis first discusses the ongoing administration of Dr. William D. Sawyer as Dean of the School of Medicine. The search that brought Dr. Sawyer to Wright State University, the initial discussions between Dr. Sawyer and President Kegerreis, and the working relationship between Dean Sawyer and then Vice-President for Health Affairs Dr. John Beljan is discussed. President Kegerreis then analyzes the financial exingency that the University and the School of Medicine faced shortly after Dr. Sawyer's arrival at Wright State University. In the second part of the interview, Dr. Kegerreis turns to his thoughts on the future of the School of Medicine, the University, the area of higher education in Ohio, and finally, his thoughts on his own future endeavors. |
