In this first of three interviews, Dr. David Buzzard, first Director of Communications for the Wright State University School of Medicine, discusses his background prior to coming to Wright State, his hiring as Director of Communications, his responsibilities and first priorities as Director, and his initial activities as Director.

Dr. Buzzard then goes on to describe the interactions between the Communications Department of the School of Medicine and the area media, the growth and staff development of the Department, and some of the major developments and special events of his tenure as first Director of Communications of the School of Medicine.
