School children clothed in red, white, and blue, form the United States of America flag in the grandstands during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration medals ceremony

Wilbur, Orville, and Bishop Milton Wright are seated on the stage at the medals ceremony during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration held on the morning of Friday June 18, 1909 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. In the first row on the left is Lieutenant Frank P. Lahm, United States Army Signal Corps. Seated behind Wilbur are Leontine and Ivonette Wright, the daughters of Lorin Wright. Next to Bishop Wright and turning backwards is Milton Wright, the son of Lorin Wright. Lorin and Katharine Wright are behind Bishop and Orville. In the grandstand, school children are clothed in red, white, and blue forming the United States of America flag.
