Dayton Mayor Edward E. Burkhart, Ohio Governor Judson Harmon, General James Allen of the United States Army Signal Corps, along with other distinguished guests are on stage at the medals ceremony during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration. The medals ceremony was held on the morning of Friday June 18, 1909 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Lieutenant Frank P. Lahm of the United States Army Signal Corps is in the background. In the grandstands, school children are clothed in red, white, and blue to form the United States of America flag.
