The float shown in the image has a globe supporting a model of the Wright Flyer. Several women in costume are sitting around the base of the globe and large golden eagles are in the front. The float is pulled by six horses and was created by the National Cash Register Company. In the background, another float is pulled by white horses and appears to have a cross made of evergreens and white flowers. The floats are being pulled through a residential portion of downtown Dayton, Ohio during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration and are being viewed by spectators who are lining the streets.
