Show full item record
The image shows a horse-drawn float with a globe that is supporting a model of the Wright Flyer. Several women in costume are seated around the base of the globe and large golden eagles rest on the front. The float was created by the National Cash Register Company. In the background is another float being pulled by white horses and appears to have a cross made of evergreens and white flowers. The floats are being pulled through a residential portion of downtown Dayton and being view by spectators who are lining the streets during the 1909 Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration parade.
