The Second and Third Regiments of the Ohio National Guard, under the command of Colonel H. G. Catrow, were reviewed by Governor Harmon and Mayor Burkhardt on Thursday, June 17, 1909 during the Wright Brothers Homecoming Celebration. This image shows an elevated view of the soldiers marching at the intersection of Third Street and Main Street at the start of the Court of Honor heading to the Soldier's Monument. The United Brethren building, the most prominent building in the photo, is right of center in the image. A search light on top of this building was used in the evening to light displays during the festivities. The first building on the left is the Conover Building. Next to the Conver Building, at the northeast corner of Main Street and Market Street, is the Teutonia Bank Building. A sign for the Wm. H. Ahlers Fur Store is on this building. In the background is the steeple of the English Lutheran Church at the southeast corner of Main Street and Hanna Lane. Near the steeple is a sign for the Willner Bros. and Co. at 116 and 118 South Main Street.
