The photograph shows Wilbur Wright squatting down behind a 1910 Wright Model A Flyer checking the wires attached to the tail. The letter A is on the tail of the Wright Model A Flyer which was the identification letter given to Walter Brookins for the events. The image was taken at the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet which was held in Atlantic, Massachusetts from September 3-13, 1910 and was sponsored by the Harvard Aeronautical Society. The image is the same as item number MS338_05_01 which is in the form of a glass lantern slide. |
