The photograph is of a Bleriot monoplane being pushed away from the tents at the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet which was held in Atlantic, Massachusetts from September 3-13, 1910 and was sponsored by the Harvard Aeronautical Society. On the left side of the monoplane is Sidney MacDonald, Claude Grahame-White's manager. The monoplane is believed to be Claude Grahame-White's. The image is the same as item number MS338_05_21 which is in the form of a glass lantern slide. |
