The photograph is of Claude Grahame-White flying in a Bleriot monoplane and Walter R. Brookins flying in a Wright Model A Flyer above the field at the Harvard-Boston Aero Meet which was held in Atlantic, Massachusetts from September 3-13, 1910 and was sponsored by the Harvard Aeronautical Society. Along the bottom of the image are spectators sitting in automobiles. The image is the same as item number MS338_06_22 in the form of a glass lantern slide. The number 283 is written on the negative. |
