The photograph shows Memorial Hall and the chapel at the National Military Home of Dayton, Ohio. The image is shot looking at the front of Memorial Hall and the back of the chapel is on the right side of the image. There are people sitting on the steps of Memorial Hall and walking on a path that leads to the entrance of the Hall. The words, "Memorial Hall A. D. 1880" are written above the entrance of the building. The Home Chapel was also called the Stone Church. The photograph is from the seventh page of the photobook titled, "National Military Home Dayton" and published by Keyes Souvenir Card Company in Dayton, Ohio circa 1910. The photograph has a handwritten caption along the bottom that reads, "Memorial Hall and Chapel." |
