The Mess Hall was built to replace the second floor of the Grand Dining Hall so that the building was more accessible for disabled veterans. People are gathered around the outside of the building. The photograph is from the twelfth page of the photobook titled, "National Military Home Dayton" and published by Keyes Souvenir Card Company in Dayton, Ohio circa 1910. The photograph has a handwritten caption on the bottom that reads, "New Mess Hall." |
