The photograph shows the guard tent at the annual military encampment, 1902. Cadets in service uniform are seated on the ground and benches beside and in front of the tent. Crossed rifles with a bugle hanging over them are directly in front of the entrance to the tent. Markings on the front of the tent read, "Chas. Glawe Mfg. Co. Awnings, Tents & C. Dayton, Ohio". The cadet wearing the dark shirt and sword, third from left, is Kleon Thaw Brown the youngest brother of Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of the Miami Military Institute.
